Aftermath of the Lazerdisk Show

Well this past weekend was the Lazerdisk concert... What started out as a promising night turned in the wrong direction rather quickly. The show started at 7:45 with DJ ZeeP throwing down a set. Black and White followed and after their set ended the venue was filling up. So much so that the owners began to worry... As the third act (VooDoo Farm) took the stage staff at the Flying Monkey began holding back the crowd from entering the front dance area. More and more people continued to flood the venue and ultimately it got out of control. Ten minutes into the VooDoo farm set the music was cut and an announcement was made. "A fire alarm has been triggered and everyone needs to clear the venue for five minutes." Instantly everyone reacted in a negative manner, but they had the right. Once the venue was cleared the 450 people at the show gathered in a mass on main street. What was supposed to be a 5 minute break turned into a 25-30 minute wait. Once people were allowed back in the vibe was completely different. No one was allowed to go up into the dance area, but instead had to stay in their seats. This did not go over well and what started as a promising night clearly did not turn out that way... Was their really a fire alarm triggered? Or did the staff realize their faulty planning and use the alarm as a way to get everyone out? I guess we'll never know....
